More information about how the World Rankings and Order of Merit are calculated can be accessed here. The World Rankings are based on a rolling twelve event period whilst the Order of Merit is calculated over the six ranking singles tournaments in any one season and used to determine qualification for the World Cup.
The highlight for Cornwall to date on the Short Mat Players Tour came over the weekend of 13th & 14th January 2018 at the British Open in York with Nigel Nicholls (Newlyn Trinity) winning the tournament defeating Essex's Dominic Reed in the final.

Nigel followed up this result with third place in February's English Masters played in Chelmsford going on to finish the season in top spot in the Order of Merit rankings for the 2017-8 season and captained the England team at the 2018 World Cup.
